"The Baltimore Bullet "
| In the Baltimore Bullet, a hustler (James
Coburn) dreams of a rematch with the only player he`s ever lost to, the legendary " Deacon " (Omar Sharif) The Deacon wont shoot for less than $20,000 a game. Silly tale about pool hustlers, and their world of gambling and high living. James Coburn mugs his way along as an aging pool shark who is still the greatest. The story is accented by much free-for-all brawling and macho ogling of women. Some interesting scenes of sharp pool shooting, the film is a far cry from Robert Rossen' s stylish classic, "The Hustler," which starred Paul Newman. Copyright 1994 by Cineman Syndicate |
