A little Snooker History
The game snooker has got it's roots in India. In the year of 1875 English army officers
expanded the traditional "Black Pool" by adding 5 colors (to the one black and the 15 reds).
Snooker was born. The game was getting more and more popular.
1916 the first English amateur championship was held.
Shortly after that in 1926 the first professional championship was held.
Snooker in England is more popular than football or tennis.
